-Since you're interested, here are a few stipulations, provisos and quid pro quos about my review process.
- I make no claim the list is exhaustive. I am reviewing products I personally own and with which I have experience. No one has sent anything in gratis for review; everything here is courtesy of my own resources.
- I have no industry sponsors and will take none; my viewers may rest assured any comments herein are as forthright as I know to make them without any outside pressure.
- Everything here is my opinion only and worth, basically, exactly what you pay for it. (The site is free).
- In each review title, (U) next to it will indicate I have actually incorporated it in a past or current build, (R) will mean I have reviewed it only and have not yet, or will not utilize it in the future.
- There are ZERO second hand reviews here. While I heartily respect many others' opinions I will never adopt any of them on say-so. If I have not used or handled a product I will express no opinion whatever.
- At times I will be critical. I have stated elsewhere I believe the industry has let us down at times vis-à-vis the AD/A-1, and if I think I am dealing with a case in point will say so. I have no desire whatever to be insulting or disrespectful; in fact I make it a point to be neither. However, I believe my readers deserve the straight goods as I see them and will not be whitening any sepulchers either.
- There is absolutely no requirement you agree with me on anything I write here. This is one old model builder's opinion only. If you have good solid reason to object, please share. If something you read here enlightens or helps you know what to select for your next project, then it has served the purpose.
- I will occasionally review items which are presently OOP. I'm not trying to show off; I will only do this if I consider the product to be of such a value it is worth sourcing in the secondhand market and maybe paying a premium price for the acquisition. If an Out Of Production item is pretty much "meh" in my opinion, then I probably just won't bother with it.
- Last but not least, this is a growing site. Reviews take quite a while to prepare for publication and thus are not always ready to go as soon as I would like. There are dozens of reviews on the way, so check back often for the latest skinny.
